This summer Pesaro comes alive with the energy of inclusion and solidarity. The extraordinary experience of the Utopia Festival which began in July 2023 by the sea continues in the lush greenery of Miralfiore Park.
One year after the first edition and thanks to the success achieved in recent months by the social bar and restaurant “Utopia”, the Festival is renewed maintaining the promise of a unique experience: book presentations, insights into social issues, concerts, theatre, poetry and much more.
Alex Bernacchia, president of Utopia, reflects on last year’s success: “The Utopia Festival is more than an event, it is a spark that has ignited job opportunities for people with unique talents. Pesaro responded with enthusiasm, supporting a path of social inclusion and recovery that has generated beauty and hope.”
As always, the refreshment activities will stand out for the use of people with disabilities and the support of many volunteers, embodying the ideal of a city that embraces all its citizens, valuing diversity as a strength.
Luca Giordano, vice president of Utopia, emphasizes the uniqueness of the experience: “every evening, the guys will be ready to welcome guests, not as customers, but as friends who, sharing the values of Utopia, contribute to realizing the dream of a more welcoming and united community.”
The Utopia Festival is not just a summer event, but a movement that celebrates fragility and inclusion, an example of how culture and solidarity can go hand in hand in creating a better society.
Historic Utopia volunteer Roberta is proud of the results achieved: “Utopia is a place where 29 disabled workers, over 60 vulnerable people waiting for work placement and almost 200 volunteers demonstrate that the community can be a driver of change, projecting the city of Pesaro towards a bright and inclusive future for all”.
The event will have an exceptional patroness in the Minister for Disability Locatelli, who has promised to intervene several times, taking Utopia as an example of good national practice.
But what is Utopia for? Marco Belvedere explains by summarizing

We will not be perfect as always in service, but in the imperfections that belong to us we seek social redemption. Someone accused us of making mistakes and we will continue to make mistakes with our heads held high if this means bringing into the world”
From 1 July to 31 August, starting from 8pm, dinner with gastronomic preparations by the Utopia chefs, at a price of 18 euros including drinks for a complete dinner. This summer, get involved in the energy of Utopia and become part of this wonderful community.
