The Lions Club Forlì Host is preparing to experience an important moment for the life of the association. The handover ceremony between Alessandra Ascari Raccagni, who ends her annual mandate as president, and Luciano Valentini, who takes over at the helm of one of the largest clubs in Italy and Europe.
Luciano Valentini graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bologna in 1982 and subsequently obtained the qualification to practice and teach. For several years he worked as a teacher at the “Guglielmo Marconi” State Industrial Technical Institute in Forlì, at the “Blaise Pascal” Institute and at the “Gaetano Lugaresi” Professional Institute in Cesena. In 1987 and 1988 he was responsible for safety in living and working environments at the Local Health Authority of Ravenna and for the following five years at that of Forlì. From 2003 to 2020, the year in which he retired, he served as head of the Plant Engineering-Accident Prevention Operating Unit of the Romagna Health Authority.
The new board of directors
Luciano Valentini will be supported in the management of the Club by a partly renewed board of directors, made up of Alessandra Ascari Raccagni, as Past President, Fiorella Maria Mangione and Giovanni Mosconi, who will hold the role of first and second vice president respectively, Andrea Mariotti , secretary, Camilla Sangiovanni, master of ceremonies, Ivo Bassi, treasurer, Andrea Bassi, president of the Members Committee, Mariella Strano, service manager, Nicola Mangione, marketing officer, and the councilors Simone Giuseppe Delia, Roberto Maestri and Stefania Milanesi.
The Board of Auditors will be made up of Nicola Maria Baccarini, Aurelio Cicognani and Luca Dal Prato, while Aurelio Viscuso will continue to carry out the role of Leo Advisor and Gabriele Zelli that of press officer.
During the same evening there will also be a change of presidency for the Leo Club Forlì. In this case, Chiara Avoni will take over the role of president from Mattia Agostini, while the board will be made up of Agostini himself, as secretary, Antonio Zaccarelli, vice president, Lucrezia Leonardi, treasurer, and Enrico Di Tella, master of ceremonies.
