As reported by Football and Financethe Board of Directors highlighted last April 10th the rules for the formation of groups: “Any Second Teams must be placed in separate groups; if, following the criterion of latitude, two Second Teams are geographically located within the same group, a draw will be held for inclusion in one of the two groups geographically closest to the headquarters of the two clubs, in compliance with the principle of alternation: and therefore, if in the 2024/2025 football season one or both of the Second Teams remain the same as in the 2023/2024 season, they will be respectively inserted into the group in which the other club was inserted in the previous football season“.
And what about the B teams?
“The same will be inserted into each of the three distinct groups by drawing lots, in compliance with the principle of alternation: and therefore, for a club that in the previous sporting season was included in a specific group, the draw will take place for inclusion in one of the other two groups”.
The Milan therefore it can be drawn in each of the three groups (A,B, or C), theAtalanta only in group B or C while the Juventus in group A or C. At least from a mathematical point of view, they are the Rossoneri’s chances of being drawn in are slightly lower grouping with the southern teams.
