From Lecco to Liguria with the FlixBus line
Lecco (Lècch) – For the summer, FlixBus inaugurates direct connections between Lecco and Genoa. Two daily trips to facilitate travel for those who will spend their holidays in Liguria.
The company thus intends to guarantee a solution of seamless journey to those leaving from the area, and to encourage a more environmentally friendly travel idea based on the use of collective means of transport and independent of the private car.
For the whole summer Genoa will be reachable twice daily from the stop in via Balicco, near the train station. Of the two daily trips, one will leave in the morning at 6:40, allowing you to arrive at 11:00 in the Ligurian capital at the stop in via Fanti d’Italia, in the immediate vicinity of the train station in Piazza Principe; the other trip will leave at 17:10, reaching Genoa at 21:30.
The total duration of the trip is 4 hours and 20 minutes. Arriving at the Piazza Principe station will allow those departing from Lecco to easily continue by train towards Ponente or Levante. Tickets can be purchased on the website, via the free FlixBus app and at physical retailers, with prices at starting from 15.98 euros.
FlixBus operates with a dynamic pricing model similar to the one used by all the main transport companies, according to which the cost of the ticket increases as the filling rate of the bus increases. By booking in advanceyou can therefore get better rates.

If we consider the emission factors in Europe, a personal car produces on average 166 grams of CO2 per passenger per km, while a FlixBus bus is characterized by an average emission factor of only 27.8 grams of CO2 per passenger per km, more than 5 times lower.
By preferring the bus to the car, those who travel will be able to reduce their impact at a limited expense. The benefits of this approach to the choice of means, which combines the needs of sustainability and cost-effectiveness, can be seen above all in the long term: in 2023, those who preferred FlixBus and FlixTrain to other solutions in the over 40 countries where the company operates, allowed to save more 1 million tons of CO2of which 152,000 in Italy alone.
