Green light for competitions to hire social workers to be employed in the Municipalities of Palermo and Monreale.
The new hires will have a full-time, permanent contract.
In particular, the two municipal administrations have published 4 competition notices to select the following figure professional: 33 social workers (3 for Monreale and 30 for Palermo); a Early Childhood Educator for the Municipality of Monreale; 4 experts in the Social-Assistance Area (EASA) e 2 pedagogists for the Municipality of Palermo; an official Psychologist for the Municipality of Monreale.

1. Public competition based on qualifications and exams for the full-time and permanent hiring of 2 Pedagogists classified to be assigned to the Municipality of Palermo. Among the essential requirements, candidates are required as a qualification: Specialist Degree/Master’s Degree LM 85 or equivalent qualifications.
Interested parties may request more information on the announcement published on the InPa web portal. Applications must be submitted exclusively online on the same InPa platform where the competition announcement was published.

2. Public competition based on qualifications and exams for the full-time and permanent hiring of 1 Early Childhood Educator classified in the Area of Officials and High Qualifications CCNL to be assigned to the Municipality of Monreale.
Among the essential requirements, the following qualification is required: Bachelor’s Degree L19 – Early Childhood Education Sciences or equivalent qualification pursuant to the law.
The announcement is published on the InPa platform and also in this case, interested parties can apply exclusively electronically by following the online procedure.
3. Public competition based on qualifications and exams for the full-time and permanent hiring of 4 Experts in the Social Assistance Area – to be allocated to the Municipality of Palermo.
Among the essential requirements, having obtained a three-year degree in one of the following classes: L-39 “Social Services”, L-24 “Psychological Sciences and Techniques” or equivalent qualification.
Interested parties who wish to participate in the competitive tests must submit an online application through the InPa platform.
4. Public competition based on qualifications and exams for the full-time and permanent hiring of 33 Social Workersof which 30 to be allocated to the Municipality of Palermo and 3 to the Municipality of Monreale.
Among the essential requirements: a first level degree in Social Work in class L39 or equivalent qualifications and qualification for the profession of specialist social worker with registration in the Register of Social Workers (– Section A or qualification for the profession of social worker with registration in the Register of Social Workers – section B).

This maxi-competition procedure will be implemented thanks to an agreement signed by the two Municipalities in March 2024, when the Municipality of Palermo and the Municipality of Monreale deemed it useful to activate a form of cooperation for the joint management of various competitive procedures aimed at hiring personnel to be assigned to both administrations.
“An intense and fruitful synergy between the departments and offices of two Municipalities has led to this selection with the aim of strengthening the social and education sectors – says the mayor of Palermo Roberto Lagalla -. The University of Palermo and the company SeleTEK will support the Offices of the Municipality of Monreale – which took charge of the implementation of the entire procedure.
