Abruzzo Region: Quaglieri, efficiency and digitalization to reduce performance cycle times

(Regflash) – L’Aquila, 29 June. An important milestone has been reached by the regional Independent Evaluation Body (OIV) and the ‘Service for Innovation in Tenders and Contracts’ (director Fabrizio Pieri) based in the Department of Resources, led by Councillor Mario Quaglieri. Thanks to the implementation of a new digital system and the efficiency of administrative processes, it was possible to anticipate the closing of the performance cycle with respect to national legal deadlines and by a semester with respect to previous years.
The decision to automate some key processes of the performance management system has in fact allowed to reduce processing times, minimize errors, historicize the data and improve the accuracy of the evaluations.
“What we have achieved is the result of a clear vision and great teamwork. Our strategy was based on technological innovation, which proved to be a determining factor in achieving the objectives set for the year 2023 and in continuously starting the 2024 programming. We are proud to be able to offer citizens an administration that is more efficient and transparent every year”, declared Councilor Mario Quaglieri.

Coordination between the various departments and continuous training of staff have ensured the definition of more structured targets and full achievement in almost all areas. Working in phases, indicators, timetables allows us to better address complex projects, such as the PNRR and the integrated plan, as confirmed by Lisa Zanardo, President of the Regional Evaluation Body.
