The process of is taking shape more and more ecclesiastical reorganization initiated by Bishop Domenico Pompili last October. On Saturday 29 June, the solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Msgr. Pompili signed the decree appointing some of the collaborators.
According to what is established by canon 553 of the Code of Canon Law, after having consulted the presbyters of the various vicarages-congregations, he proceeded to Appointment of urban and forane vicarswho will be called to be close collaborators of the Bishop and to implement the diocesan guidelines in the territory entrusted to them, promoting and coordinating the common pastoral activity in the territory entrusted to them, implementing the Bishop’s guidelines.

Furthermore, today, July 1st, he signed the decree appointing the new director of the diocesan Caritas of Veronain the person of don Matteo Malostowho will also maintain the role of director of the Pastoral Center for Adolescents and Young People and of contact person for the Diocesan Service for the Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Persons.

Born 39 years ago, he obtained a classical high school diploma from the Scipione Maffei High School (2004) and a degree in Legal Sciences from the University of Verona (2009). Ordained a priest in 2014, he was immediately appointed assistant parish priest in Nogara; in 2017 he was transferred to the office of director of the Pastoral Center for Children (2017). He is currently the contact person for the Service for the Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Persons (since 2019) and director of the Pastoral Center for Adolescents and Youth (since 2022).
In this last role he has already collaborated with the diocesan Caritas of Verona, in particular with Casa Madonna di Guadalupe (located in San Massimo, adjacent to the Pastoral Centre for Adolescents and Youth) and with the Young Caritas office for the coordination of youth activities in the Diocese.
