PIETRASANTA – Another tragedy at work. This time the victim is a 32-year-old man who was trapped under the tractor he was driving and which ended up off the road.
It happened around 1.30pm, while the agricultural vehicle was coming down from via della Rocca in Pietrasanta (near a holiday home).
A 32-year-old man (apparently a partner of the Pietrasanta company that was carrying out work in the area), Federico Nappi, unfortunately died after being left with his body under the tractor. The young man’s wife is five months pregnant. We are facing yet another tragedy.
According to a note from the Municipality of Pietrasanta, the victim was a partner-worker of a company commissioned by the administration to carry out maintenance work on the greenery in the historic center.
The accident occurred outside the construction area.
A medical car from the north of Querceta and an ambulance from the Croce Verde of Pietrasanta intervened.
Also on site were the operators of the Prevention of Hygiene and Safety in the Workplace (PISLL), together with the police (carabinieri and local police) and the firefighters. The team that arrived from Lucca freed the man from under the heavy vehicle. But the doctor could only confirm his death.
Pegaso had also been activated but was sent back to base when the medical car personnel detected the death.
