Citizens’ needs often collide with the rubber wall of bureaucracy. And job reintegration is becoming increasingly complicated. In March we published the appeal of Pierluigi Savino48 years old, from Vasto, who continues to look for and cannot find a job.

«Now – he says – I was also deprived of my Adi, the inclusion allowance, which amounted to just 94 euros, later reduced to 87. I find myself with only 300 euros of disability pension, an amount with which it is impossible to live with dignity. In recent months and also recently I have addressed all the competent bodies in social and labor matters. Since 2009 I have been registered in the protected category provided for by law number 68 of 1999 but, until today, I have never been contacted by the relevant offices. I was unable to obtain anything except enrollment in the Abruzzo Include regional program for reintegration into the job market. A measure which, almost three months later, has not been implemented because the necessary funding is still lacking. I found myself with a diagnosis that I believe was wrong and that ruined my life. With that diagnosis, from October 2023, the percentage of disability was raised from 75 to 80 percent, but this was a damage for me, because it did not allow me to find work even directly in private companies. In the past I worked first in the construction sector, where I cannot return to work due to a fall which caused me to apply a titanium plate, then in the fishing sector, where I worked in a fish shop or in any case in the food sector it would be a good solution to my work problem. Work is a right for everyone, even those who have a disability».
