Evening of culture in Civitavecchia, where four of the five authors selected for the 2024 Campiello prize spoke. The fifth invited via video message.
A late afternoon graced by a breathtaking sunset over the historic port of Civitavecchia where many authorities attended.
The note from Unindustria Lazio – The event involved over 300 guests, starting with the Vice President of the Lazio Region Roberta Angelilli.
Present were the new mayor of Civitavecchia Marco Piendibene and the President of the Port System Authority Pino Musolino. Great participation also from the representatives of Unindustria: welcomed by the territorial President of Civitavecchia, Cristiano Dionisi, the Vice President Stefano Cenci, the Past President Piccola Industria Fausto Bianchi were present with the current territorial PI Presidents Marco Pezzopane, Francesca Guerrucci and Simonetta Coccia, with the General Director Massimiliano Ricci.
“The Campiello Prize is one of the main literary awards in Italy and was able to anticipate its times because it was not easy 60 years ago to think of such a close synergy between culture and the business system. Thanks to the industrialists of the Veneto who were able to make it truly prestigious over the years”, commented Cristiano Dionisi.
“Tonight was the first stage of the summer tour organized by the Campiello Foundation, having organized it in our city is a source of pride and satisfaction. I thank all the writers for their presence here in Civitavecchia and I address my most sincere best wishes to them, also from this wonderful audience.
