There will be twenty-eight Neapolitan citizens in total who have decided to participate in the anti-bradyseism simulation which will take place tomorrow in the red zone of the Campi Flegrei.
On the website of the Municipality of Naples there was in fact a link available to anyone interested in volunteering to participate in the exercise scheduled for tomorrow in order to know the organization well in the event of a strong seismic swarm: well, from sources of the Municipality of Naples, we learn that 20 citizens of the center of Naples have joined, plus another eight inhabitants of the area on the border with Pozzuoli for a total of 28. Only 28 out of the 909,000 certified inhabitants therefore felt the need to test the emergency, coming in particular from the three neighborhoods of the red zone of Naples, Bagnoli, Fuorigrotta and Posillipo.
Tomorrow the citizens participating in the exercise will be taken from the waiting areas via Liberazione-via Sibilla to the hub set up at the municipality in via Acate in Bagnoli. Participation was higher in Pozzuoli and Bacoli: around 300 citizens in Pozzuoli and another 200 in Bacoli will be involved in the evacuation going to the two waiting areas of Via Napoli and Largo del Ricordi.
From here a shuttle will take people to Palatrincone for the census simulation. In Bacoli the waiting areas have been identified in via del Mercato (via Miseno) and in piazza Rossini al Fusaro.
From here the citizens will be accompanied to the hub set up in the gym of the Antonio Gramsci middle school. “We have always urged significant participation from citizens in the simulations, we try to make them understand that it is important to practice because we are not talking about surreal scenarios but real scenarios. When you live in an area that is subjected to risks, you must also have a culture of knowledge of the risks and knowing the plans that in certain situations can also make the difference”. This is how Italo Giulivo, general director of Civil Protection in Campania, comments on the data which sees the participation of only 28 citizens of Naples in the anti-bradyseism simulation scheduled for tomorrow.
Speaking about the ongoing simulations, Giulivo underlines: “They are an important issue – he states – of prevention culture, we know that in Italy we are very late from this point of view, but we as a civil protection system will never give up on making plans and to certify them with exercises. Tomorrow we will simulate a multiple one with a system engaged on multiple fronts. For us the hope is that those who did not have the desire or time to report for this exercise will do so for the one we will do in October, which will be even more demanding. and which will concern a volcanic risk scenario.”
