The docufilm will be screened on Wednesday 16 June at 8pm at the Citrigno cinema in Cosenza “Travelling with Her”, feature film by director Gianluca Gargano which tells the journey of a trans girl to discover herself and the female world. The journey back into his life becomes a real journey in the company of two friends, Francesca, actress with Down syndrome and Franca, theater director and casting director, both with equally intense and difficult stories behind them. However, the story of “Her” also revolves around those of other women who, like the protagonists, they have struggled and continue to struggle to assert their identity. A film of only women who play themselves in real life, where the director paints their features with discretion and poetry, between breathtaking landscapes and intense moments of delicate intimacy. The film was shot in Calabria.

Awarded as best documentary at the “Berlin Independent Film Festival” and at the “Rome Independent Film Festivalthe film is currently about to be awarded an award at the “Green Film Festival in Rome”. in competition at the For Rainbow Film Festival in Brazil, where it is among the seven selected from over seventeen hundred films arrived from all over the world.

A documentary film dedicated to women and their innate strength which becomes an emblem of resistance and celebration of life beyond all pain, beyond all obstacles. The screening is part of the Cosenza Pride initiatives and is supported by the Down People Association of Cosenza. The director and cast will be present at the event screening to meet the public and answer any questions, together with the provincial president Arci and the president of the Down Syndrome Association.
