Great enthusiasm from the Italian rugby movement for the match with New Zealand on November 23 in Turin

Italy-All Blacks: over ten thousand tickets sold in 24 hours

The test matches between Italy and All Blacks are always among the most anticipated by the Italian public, both by those who follow rugby during major events and by the grassroots of the rugby movement. If we then add a new location like the Allianz Stadium in Turin where the match will be played on November 23, the anticipation and enthusiasm skyrockets.

Thus, between Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd July, in the first twenty-four hours of advance ticket sales – reserved for affiliated clubs, card-holding members and members of the FIR Honour Club – the Italian Rugby Federation sold over ten thousand tickets, the highest number of tickets ever sold in such a short period of time in the history of the FIR.

With a few more days to ensure priority for Clubs and members, tickets will open for sale to the general public on Monday 8th July.

A result that was the fruit, as mentioned, of a particular opponent (not only for the haka), of an event within the event given the stadium, but above all of the game and the results expressed by Lamaro and his teammates in the 2024 Six Nations matches which certainly brought a good dose of enthusiasm to the entire rugby community.

Suffice it to say that during the last two matches between Italy and New Zealand at the Olimpico in Rome, despite the kick-off time being much more convenient for the public coming from out of town, the participation was not so enthusiastic. In fact, attendance was 30,000 people in 2021 – certainly also thanks to the post-pandemic situation – and 53,000 spectators in 2018.
