The Agents of the Flying Squad of the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid of the Ragusa Police Headquarters have identified and reported to the Judicial Authority seven people, three Italians and four Tunisians, considered jointly responsible for the crimes of resisting and threatening a Public Official as well as contempt, since they attempted to prevent the Agents of the State Police from accompanying to the CPR of Caltanissetta a foreign citizen of Tunisian origin, recipient of an Expulsion Decree and related detention in CPR
The events occurred in the first days of June 2024, in the afternoon hours, when a group of people, including the five suspects, crowded in front of the driveway gate of the Police Headquarters to prevent the police from carrying out the accompaniment to Caltanissetta. . On this occasion the seven suspects also threatened and insulted the Agents.
This situation continued for several minutes and it was necessary to use additional State Police patrol cars in order to allow the car carrying the individual to be taken to the CPR in Caltanissetta to leave the Police Headquarters.
The immediate and complex investigations, also carried out with the support of the personnel of the Provincial Cabinet of Scientific Police, allowed the police to identify and report at liberty the people who committed the above-mentioned facts.
