PAVIA – Today, at Palazzo Mezzabarba, the mayor of Pavia Michele Lissia presented the new municipal council, thus completing the government team just fifteen days after the electoral victory. The official presentation took place on Tuesday morning, after negotiations continued until late Monday afternoon to define the delegations between the various members of the new executive.
The Democratic Party (PD) obtained two councillors, accompanied by the former dem Francesco Brendolise, a figure who has been out of the party for several years and is the cause of internal tensions. Two other places on the council were assigned to the “Pavia a Colori” civic list, while Action, the Green Left Alliance, Let’s Center and the 5 Star Movement shared one councilor each.
He will also find a place in the mayor’s team Giuliano Ruffinazzi of the PD, who will be the new chief of staff. Lissia has decided to keep the urban planning delegations for himself, with the possibility of adding that of territorial marketing. Alice Moggi she has been appointed deputy mayor and will also take on responsibilities for public works and legality. For “Pavia a Colori”, Gipo Anfosso will be in charge of training and work.
The PD has chosen Matteo Pezza for budget management, while Cristina Barbieri will deal with culture. The delicate sector of Social Services will be entrusted to Francis Brendolise. Alessandra Fuccillo of Alleanza Verdi Sinistra will have the delegation to education, while Rodolfo Faldini, in addition to the Local Police, could also manage mobility and commerce. TO Lorenzo Goppi, instead, the Department of Environment, Sustainability, Ecological Transition and Energy Policies.
Angela Gregorini of Action will deal with youth policies and sport. The delegation to tourism, contested until the end, went to the 5 Star Movement, which designated Vincenzo Nicolaio for green delegation.
The negotiations for the delegations were intense and prolonged, continuing until Monday evening. The areas of trade and relationships with subsidiaries were also topics of discussion until the end. Finally, the role of president of the city council was assigned to Fabio Castagna of the PD.
