The cycle path along via del Canale which will connect the hamlet of Roncadello to the church of San Benedetto in via Lunga is one of the most important works in terms of promoting sustainable mobility and strengthening the connection network between the neighborhoods and the historic centre, in line with the forecasts of the Pums (Sustainable Mobility Plan) of 2020 and the Biciplan of 2023.
“The first two sections of this route have concluded in recent days, with the positioning of the horizontal and vertical signs from the center of the Roncadello district to the Coop Sapore di Romagna agricultural company, passing through the “Ruffilli” agricultural professional institute.
These are the words of councilor Giuseppe Petetta, confirmed as councilor for mobility of the new Zattini council.
“It is 1.5 km of two-way cycle-pedestrian path, in asphalt, 1 and a half meters wide and complete with curbs at the end, widened at the height of the bridges, in order to allow cars easy access to private properties . The work on these two lots, financed with Pnrr resources, started at the end of October and was completed in less than eight months.”
“The third and final lot, already financed with regional funds” – concludes Petetta – “is in the executive planning phase for a length of another 2 km and will complete the connection with the San Benedetto district, starting from the Coop Sapore agricultural company in Romagna – Canonici to enter Via Lughese.”
