Cuneo Illuminata is underway: inauguration and first light shows on Friday

Only a few days separate us from the return of Cuneo Illuminata: the now traditional summer event returns to the city for its eighth edition and prepares to welcome thousands of visitors from Cuneo for a month full of events.

From July 5th to 28th, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10pm and 10:30pm, the light shows in time with music will liven up Piazza Galimberti and Via Roma. For the rest of the week, the lights will be permanently on during the evening. The portal will be shaped like an edelweiss, to celebrate the recognition of Alpine City of the Year received by the Municipality of Cuneo: there will also be numerous dedicated events.

And then many other events, starting from the Solemn Procession of the Madonna del Carmine and the Infiorata, the dinner “Mille luci nel piatto”, the DJ sets, the “Corsa sotto le luci” and “Illuminabici”, the workshops for children. Also this year, solidarity will be at the center of the event: part of the funds raised from the sale of gadgets, free offerings and participation in the events will be donated to ABIO Cuneo to make the rooms of the Pediatrics of S. Croce e Carle more livable and welcoming.

The events are organized by the Cuneo Illuminata Committee association, composed of: Municipality of Cuneo, Madonna del Carmine Committee, ATL del Cuneese, WeCuneo, Confartigianato Cuneo, Conitours and Promocuneo. Cuneo Illuminata is made possible thanks to the patronage of the Piedmont Region, the Province of Cuneo and the Municipality of Cuneo. It is supported by the CRC Foundation, the CRT Foundation, Intesa Sanpaolo, the Cuneo Chamber of Commerce, ATL del Cuneese and numerous sponsors.
