This morning, the Mayor Mauro Lombardothe Environment Councillor Andrea Mazzaand the Director of the Environment Sector, Annalisa Tassoneaccompanied by some technicians, returned to the “La Sorgente” area in Colle Fiorito di Guidonia, to check the overall situation of the area after the start of the extraordinary and urgent works made necessary after the end of the intervention of forestation by the successful contractor.
The situation, as also represented by many citizens on social media, does not meet the expectations of residents and the municipal administration which, for this reason, had to provide a cleaning of the area and watering of the plants which do not appear to have taken root well.
In the meantime, a careful review of the contract relating to the “Experimental program of interventions for adaptation to climate change”, linked to the construction of this work financed with ministerial funds, has been started, so that its contents are meticulously verified. If necessary, any disputes will be charged.
“This area must become an urban park, a green lung available to the City and, in particular, to the little ones. With the agronomists we will understand exactly if something has not worked and, in this case, who is responsible” – points out the Mayor Mauro Lombardo.
