After a long interrogation, the son of the retired couple killed in Fano confessed: the man is in custody and was taken to prison for multiple murders aggravated by cruelty. The victims are Giuseppe Ricci, 75 years old, found with his head smashed by a blunt force, and his wife Luisa Marconi, 70 years old, suffocated perhaps by strangulation.
The bodies were discovered yesterday by the firefighters who intervened to open the door after the alarm was raised by the couple’s son, who lives upstairs in the house and who was then subjected to a lengthy interrogation.
One of the hypotheses on the gesture, the auction sale in September of the home of the spouses who had guaranteed debts of 60 thousand euros not honored by their son, separated from his wife, a worker. Today the husband and wife were supposed to meet the new owner of the house at the agency. For investigators, it could be the key to understanding what happened.
At the first questions, the son had rejected all accusations and repeated that he had found his parents already dead: as the hours passed, however, the man began to say he didn’t remember. At the moment there is no arrest order but it could be triggered in the next few hours.
The investigations, coordinated by the Pesaro prosecutor Maria Letizia Fucci, are conducted by the Pesaro Flying Squad and the Fano police station. The medical-legal investigations could provide valuable clues for the investigation, together with the findings of the Scientific Police who searched the house today.
