The Italian tennis player won the only match played against the 32-year-old Teutonic player: dates back to 2023, curiously always in the first round of another Slam, namely the US Open. On that occasion the South Tyrolean champion prevailed 6-3, 6-1, 6-1 on the hard court of Flushing Meadows, giving his opponent very little space. The blue will start with the underdogs, but must not lose focus.
