Watch out for prohibitions: here’s how to get to Infermi

Rimini will be colored yellow for the Tour de France. But Saturday will be a black day on the roads, due to the traffic restrictions and bans imposed by the first stage of the Grande Boucle, which will start from Florence at 12 and arrive at around 5.35 pm at the finish line on the Rimini seafront, at the height of the bath is 72. A stage that will cross the Apennines and pass, in our province, through Novafeltria, Talamello, San Leo and, after the last mountain grand prix of the day in San Marino, will pass through Coriano to reach Rimini. The runners will enter the city from the San Marino highway, then they will follow a stretch of State Road 16 up to the alle Befane roundabout: from here they will take viale Settembrini, via Chiabrera up to the roundabout with viale Regina Elena, from where they will continue up to piazzale Gondar to arrive at the finish line on the seafront.

All roads affected by the race will close three hours early. The San Marino highway will only be passable in the sea-mountain direction, while the other carriageway will be closed for the passage of advertising caravans and the race. The A14 toll booth in Rimini Sud is also closed: exits as early as 2pm, and entries from 3.30pm. Via Settembrini, which is part of the race route, will be passable on a single lane towards the emergency room. To facilitate access to the hospital, the Local Health Authority and the Municipality have agreed to also keep the accesses from via Flaminia and via Ovidio open.

Finally, in the sea area, in the last 2 kilometers of the race route, there will be three cordoned off gates constantly manned by law enforcement and organizers, to allow pedestrians to pass through. The gates will be created in viale Firenze, in piazzale Gondar and on the Di Vittorio seafront: they will be closed 15 minutes before the passage of the caravans and 15 minutes before the arrival of the runners. The Municipality’s advice is “to avoid using the car as much as possible”.
