The evaluation commission has been defined. The initiative is by President Laura Pernazza to recognize those who have particularly distinguished themselves in various branches of social activities
TERNI, 25 June 2025 – Everything is ready for the first edition of the Golden Ape, the civic merit established by the Province of Terni with a resolution of the Provincial Council on the initiative of the President Laura Pernazza who wanted to create an initiative capable of give recognition to those who have particularly distinguished themselves in sport, school, social work and volunteering, the arts, culture and healthcare.
The first official step already taken was the publication of the notice relating to the submission of candidatures (expired on 31 May) which invited individuals, committees, bodies, associations and institutions to report, for direct knowledge, citizens or groups organized by citizens, deemed worthy of being publicly recognized through civic merit for 2024 (read the press release).
Subsequently, with her own decree, President Pernazza proceeded to appoint the evaluation commission of the proposed candidates which is composed, in addition to the President herself, of five members who are experts in as many fields, including very important and well-known names. The members are in fact Alessio Foconi (sport), Fausto Dominici (school), Dominga Cotarella (solidarity and social volunteering), Giulio Rapetti Mogol (art and culture) and Lorella Fioriti (health).
President Pernazza has scheduled the meeting of the evaluation commission for Friday 28 June at 5.00 pm in the presidential office of the provincial administration. The recognition consists in the delivery of a representation that recalls the bee symbol present in the coat of arms of the Province of Terni; the date of the delivery ceremony will be set shortly and appropriately communicated.
