MESAGNE – Another success for the very young tennis player Ludovica Casalino, pride of the qualified academy of the coach “Dino De Guido” of Mesagne. In the international tournament of the Tennis Europe Grade 2 under 14 circuit in Pescara, now in its 35th edition, the yellow-blue tennis player in singles defeated her rival and friend Francesca Fuzio with a score of 6-4 6-2 who, surprisingly, reached the final was not seeded, while Casalino was seeded no. 5.

In the doubles draw, paired with the Roman Benedetta Terzoli, the tennis player from Mesagne won the title by defeating the French Capucine Dournes and Ambre Le Prunenec in the final with a score of 6-3 6-3. The tournament expressed a very high level of play and this further reinforces the significance of her deserved victories.

Objective achieved for Casalino, with 7 matches played (4 singles and 3 doubles) without ever losing. Doubles title and, above all, first singles title in his career achieved thanks to his commitment, his stubbornness and his undoubted talent. Thanks to the support of all the technical and managerial staff of the coach “Dino De Guido”, since May 2018, before her important victory (Regional Fit Jr Program), Ludovica has grown a lot, she has committed herself, she has suffered, reaching numerous important goals.

In the current season, Ludovica Casalino, moreover, was able to prevail over two Top 30 tennis players in the Tennis Europe ranking: Marina Markina, Latvian nr. 11, currently no. 4, and the Austrian Cara Fronek, nr. 25.

And it was precisely in June 2024 that she was formally called up to defend the colors of Italy in the “Europe Cup” – the European Under 14 women’s team championship which will take place at the Ct Soul Entertainment Group in Istanbul (Turkey) from 5 July to 7 July 2024. In preparation for the event, the Italian team took part in a friendly match in Krsko, Slovenia from 18 to 22 June.

This well-deserved call-up is intended to be a new starting point for her to achieve ever more prestigious points of arrival to be included in her already noteworthy sporting curriculum.
