News on Chaka Traoré’s future: Milan have decided

For Chaka Traoré, what has just ended was a very special season. Thanks to a good pre-season, the class of 2004 managed to earn a place in the Milan first team squad. Despite finding little space in the first six months, in 88 minutes overall he had scored two goals, one against Cagliari in the Italian Cup and one in Serie A in the clear 3-0 away win against Empoli. Chaka was also able to experience his debut in the Champions League, collecting 13 minutes in the Rossoneri’s fateful defeat at home to Borussia Dortmund.

In January, Milan decided to sell him on loan to Palermo in Serie B, with the hope of having found him a team that would have him lined up as a regular starter. Unfortunately it didn’t happen that way. In total the young Ivorian winger made 10 appearances, of which only one as a starter. Despite having shown good qualities in the segments granted to him, the experience in Sicily was not unforgettable.

It will be up to Fonseca to decide Traoré’s future

Milan appear to have made a decision on Chaka Traoré’s future. The class of 2004 will certainly be part of the list of players present at the beginning of the year meeting on 8 July. It will be up to the new coach Paulo Fonseca to evaluate him and decide whether to focus on him or not. In all likelihood Traoré will then be sent out on loan again, although it cannot be completely ruled out that he will stay at Milanello, who could decide to add him to the Under 23 team that will play the Serie C championship.
