CROTONE – The redevelopment work on the Bernabò sports facility began on Friday 21 June. The initiative falls within the planning of the PNRR and Sports Facilities department which involves the implementation of eight interventions in the city’s neighborhoods which will lead to the creation of nineteen playing fields for multiple disciplines.
Specifically, in the presence of the councilor Luca Bossi and the staff of the PNRR and Urban Planning Office, the construction site was opened which will lead to the creation, through the PNRR – Inclusion and Cohesion financing, of a 7-a-side football pitch in synthetic grass, a multi-purpose concrete tennis and five-a-side football pitch, and the construction of a changing room. The installation of new LED lighting, a new electrical system, new fences and an equipped play area are also planned.
The financial commitment for the construction of an innovative structure in the neighborhood. is 1,333,333 euros.

“We start with a strategic intervention for the neighborhoods, which brings with it strong elements of urban regeneration and social inclusion. Thanks to the working group, Eng. Manlio Caiazza, engineer. Giuseppe Parise, arch. Mariano Di Pino and Dr. Annamaria Romeo. Thus the activity of the administration continues unabated and specifically the interventions of the PNRR and Complex Programs office” said councilor Bossi.
