Knife in hand to rob groceries
REGGIO EMILIA – A regular at the market in terms of shoplifting beer cans, so much so that upon entering he was not lost sight of by a sales assistant from a market located near the historic station of Reggio Emilia, who thanks to the internal cameras of the shop , having been certain that the man was hiding a can of beer in his backpack, stopped him and found the stolen goods. At this point the man pulled out a knife which he pointed at the shop assistant and then walked away.
Thanks to video surveillance
The carabinieri of the mobile radio section of the Reggio Emilia company intervened immediately, thanks also to the city’s video surveillance system, and tracked down the alleged robber who was being blocked.
Arrested
For these reasons, with charges of aggravated robbery and illegal possession of weapons, the carabinieri of the mobile radio section of the Reggio Emilia company arrested a 28-year-old Nigerian domiciled in Reggio Emilia, arrested at the end of the formalities available to the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Reggio Emilia, directed by the Prosecutor Calogero Gaetano Paci.

The related proceeding, in the preliminary investigation phase, will continue for the usual investigative investigations for the purpose of evaluations and determinations inherent to the exercise of criminal action.
