Lamezia ready to challenge Southern Italy

The press conference to present the interregional boxing tournament was held yesterday, Wednesday 19 June, in the premises of the “La Stazione” restaurant in Falerna Marina.

The event will take place on Saturday 22 June on Corso Giovanni Nicotera in Lamezia Terme and will see the participation of some of the best boxing schools in Campania, Puglia, Calabria and Sicily. The event is organized by the Lametina boxing school ASD Group 15.

During the conference, Maestro Angelino Mascaro declared: “The tournament is now a consolidated tradition. We will have some of the best boxers from southern Italy in the ring and it will be an event of great importance. We have prepared hard and will do our best to raise the name of Lamezia high.”
Five players from Lamezia are competing: Giancarlo Paola, Antonio Perri, Filippo Rocca, Fortunato Gallo and Alessandro Pullia.

Giancarlo Paola will face Samuele Orilia from Campania, Antonio Perri will challenge Antonio Mogavero, also from Campania, Filippo Rocca will be opposed to Lentini, a young boxer from Vibo, Fortunato Gallo will fight against the Sicilian Brascetta and finally Alessandro Pullia will face the Sicilian athlete Librato.

In total, 13 matches will be played at a very high technical level.
