A tragedy occurred around 5.30pm yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 19 June, in Rho along the city’s central street.

RHO – Drama yesterday afternoon in Rho, in Corso Europa where a 72-year-old man died after being run over by a cement mixer.

According to what has been reconstructed so far, as reported by Prima Milano Ovest, the man riding a bicycle was along Corso Europa, at the intersection with Via del Majno, when he was hit by a cement mixer in transit.

It is not yet clear whether the man, born in 1952, was crossing the road (the bike was found a short distance from the pedestrian crossing) or whether he was traveling along Corso Europa in the normal direction of travel, what is certain is that he was hit from the cement mixer traveling in the direction of the hospital.

The alarm

The alarm went off in code red and, in addition to the State Police and the Local Police, an ambulance arrived on site, while the air ambulance was sent from Milan since the man’s condition immediately appeared critical.

Unfortunately, once the rescuers arrived on site, they could only confirm the death of the 72-year-old cyclist.
