Jehovah’s Witnesses at national congress in Arezzo

NewTuscia – PERUGIA – In a world where social media, TV and radio inundate us with bad news, a three-day live event open to the public promises to deliver only good news!

Also known for the large conferences they hold all over the world, Jehovah’s Witnesses return to the Arezzo Exhibition and Congress Center with a highly anticipated program designed to share useful advice from the Bible and encouragement with those present.

Jehovah’s Witnesses will hold their 2024 convention series titled “Telling the Good News!” for 4 consecutive weekends starting from the weekend of 21-23 June. The free event is expected to attract more than 15,000 participants from Umbria and much of Tuscany to the city over the 4 scheduled weekends, also benefiting local commercial activities such as shops, hotels and restaurants.

“We are thrilled to collaborate once again with the city authorities of Arezzo which will host our conferences,” said Roberto Guidotti, spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “These conferences are one of the most anticipated moments of the year for thousands of people who need a little positivity in their lives, and we are happy to once again enjoy the program in this welcoming and hospitable city.”

The “Let us announce the good news!” conference will feature Bible-based videos, talks and interviews and include topics such as:

  • Why do we need good news?
  • The good news according to Jesus.
  • We overcome difficulties thanks to the good news.

The highlight on Saturday will be the baptism of people from surrounding communities, while a two-part video story will capture the public’s attention on Friday and Saturday. In the weeks before each convention, local Jehovah’s Witnesses will engage in a campaign to invite people to this free event.

Last year, nearly 13 million people attended more than 6,000 three-day conferences around the world.
