PALERMO – The aggravating circumstance of transnationality had been dropped in the Supreme Court. In the new appeal process some have arrived sentence discounts for five drug dealers.
These are the defendants and the sentences inflicted by the second section of the Court of Appeal presided over by Raffaele Malizia: Alessandro Girgenti 6 years and 8 months (he had been given 7 years and 4 months in continuation with a previous sentence (defended by the lawyers Antonio Turrisi and Michele Rubino, the hypothesis of association had already been dropped which had increased the request for a sentence to 30 years in prison ); Giuseppe Lo Coco and Filippo Miranda 4 years each (they had been given 6 years, 6 months and 10 days each, lawyers Michele Rubino and Maurilio Panci), Gerardo Romano 5 years and 2 months (he was given 8 years and 6 months, defended by the lawyer Giuseppe Inzerillo), Giuseppe Di Francesco 4 years and 4 months (it had been 7, lawyer Giovanni Rizzuti).
In the gift packages there were hashish and marijuana cwhich the defendants imported from Spain. Code name: “Bathroom Tiles”.
