Summer Live with the now consolidated couple formed by Nunzia De Girolamo and Gianluca Semprinibrings Rai 1’s afternoon to peaks of 20% share. The credit goes also and above all to the traction. Summer Live Start which ‘gathers’ the public and prepares them for the services, connections and everything else planned in each episode, depending on the main events of the day. The top management introduced it later, after a less than stellar start after the first week of broadcasting following the end of the Live Life.
Italian TV is well aware of the value and importance of lead-ins, which allow viewers to be better prepared and accompanied towards the immediately following proposal, so making a mistake in this sense is absolutely forbidden. However, Rai 1 must adapt due to the current season and therefore must give up the one designed for the summer program broadcast every afternoon starting at 4:15 pm. Let’s see what will change starting from the second week of July and why the top management were forced to make this decision.
Summer Livestop for De Girolamo and Semprini: what changes in the last three weeks of July
There will be a break for towing Summer Live Start in the last three weeks of July. It is to allow the recording of some August episodes of Camper. This happens because three Rai 1 programs are broadcast in the same studio in via Teulada in Rome: Summer Live, Camper e Unomattina Summer. While Summer Live e One Morning Summer they necessarily have to be broadcast live for obvious reasons, Camper can be recorded. This break is necessary to allow Rai staff to enjoy the usual August holidays. During these three weeks of July, therefore, from 2 pm onwards, reruns of three episodes per day will be broadcast. This could create some towing problems for Summer Live, which airs from 5.05pm. The repeat of a soap that the public now knows very well does not appear to be the right driving force to allow the format to take off and ensure Auditel dominance in the aforementioned segment. The stop, however, is inevitable and necessary. It must in fact allow the correct and fluid execution of all Rai programming and give the protagonists the opportunity to enjoy their holidays.
