A short note from Alternativa Popolare, signed by the regional coordinator and deputy mayor of Terni, Riccardo Corridore: “I hereby, in agreement with the President of the Party Paolo Alli and on the recommendation of the National Secretary Stefano Bandecchi, revoke Dr Raffaello Federighi from the role of Coordinator for the Province of Terni”. After the former councilor Lucio Nichinonni, the former councilor Mascia Aniello, the resignation of the former provincial coordinator, Lorenzo Filippetti, Stefano Bandecchi, the torpedo has arrived, also for Raffaello Federighi, former councilor of the Latini council, (Forza Italia side ) then passed into the lists of Alternativa Popolare with the victory of the Bandecchi in the municipal elections of Terni.
‘Vannacci case’
Already in the past (it was 2023 and Federighi was only an AP councilor, ed.) there had been the feeling that there was some tension between Federighi and Alternativa Popolare, which resulted in the ‘Vannacci case’. On the occasion of the release of the general’s book, Raffaello Federighi intervened in defense of the soldier, but triggered the reaction of the deputy mayor Corridore, who we remember: “Riccardo Corridore: “The statements of councilor Federighi derive from a personal bond with General Vannacci and do not represent the political line of the party. Raphael has full right to express solidarity with a man who defended the colors of the nation and who should be thanked for this. Regarding the contents of the book, however, as Regional Coordinator of Alternative Popolare and as Deputy Mayor of Terni, I highlight all my dissent and firm condemnation for the words used which are not justifiable. Our national coordinator has started an important political battle for the protection of the LGBTQIA+ categories which I remind everyone deserve the same rights as everyone else, as people who have full freedom to self-determine as they see fit. My participation in the demonstration in Terni complete with a tricolor sash and the registration of the child with two female parents testify to the clear and unequivocal political line of Alternativa Popolare“.
