A patent to remotely control the efficiency of the solar panel and understand in real time the reasons for temporary performance below expectations, so as not to waste even a kilowatt of energy.
It is the latest generation software created by EcoEfficiency, a Tuscan company, based in Prato al Macrolotto 2, with more than a dozen employees, which deals with the installation of photovoltaic panels, research and development to innovate the technologies to be used in the sector of renewables, and which seeks efficiency solutions for homes, offices and companies.
A company founded in 2022, with partners from Prato, Turin and Milan with many years of experience in the energy sector, and which has already well exceeded one gigawatt of solar energy production, with the short-term prospect of doubling this figure throughout the 2024. A company that installs panels on a national scale, but which has chosen Tuscany as a logistics base because it is a fertile territory for innovation, a place of beauty and where solar energy can make a particular difference.
“Tuscany with all its landscape constraints perfectly represents our idea of solar – explains Marco Traversi, one of the EcoEfficiency partners -. That is, tailor-made solutions to be in tune with the territory and to respect the surrounding environment. An example? Colored panels and integrated systems, preserving the landscape context. And then we have a staff specialized in respecting the landscape restrictions.”
Speaking of efficiency, as mentioned, the Prato company is pursuing a patent to optimize the use of the panels, structured with a system of cameras and controls on the system. A path that goes hand in hand with research and development to find the best materials to use, to take up as little space as possible and to obtain the best possible performance.
As well as photovoltaic windows to be installed in glass buildings, photovoltaic solar awnings, double-sided panels, so as not to waste even a ray of sunshine. “We are able to create tailor-made projects capable of making everything regarding the energy field as efficient as possible, starting right from the installation of the photovoltaic system – continues Traversi -.
We use software that can tell customers about energy production in real time. And in the event of low production it immediately triggers an alarm bell, signaling the anomaly. Then, thanks to the patented software, we can remotely understand which type of intervention to perform: technical, structural or cleaning. It may seem trivial, but solar performance is often lost due to dirt and poor maintenance.”
Another sector of specialization for EcoEfficiency is that of energy communities. The company is becoming an authorized interlocutor in the dialogue with the GSE, the energy services manager, with a view to simplifying relations with citizens who want to join the Cers. The company is also building several energy communities. “We have an in-depth knowledge of the systems – concludes Traversi -.
