TERNI – One year and ten months of imprisonment, suspended sentence, for stalking and compensation to his ex-wife of 10 thousand euros.

It is the sentence inflicted on a 32 year old IranianI, resident in Terni, who was ended up on trial for mistreatment of his ex, a Brazilian woman and mother of a young daughter.

The indictment documents contain several episodes in which the man, even in the presence of his daughter, heavily insulted his ex-wife. And an alleged attack on the woman’s new partner, when he also allegedly attacked her ex who was trying to get between the two.

The 32 year old, defended by the lawyer Francesco Mattiangeli, obtained the declassification of the crime of maltreatment in stalking. The suspension of the sentence was conditional on compensation for damages to the woman. After the sentence, the approach ban measure was revoked.

«I am moderately satisfied with the outcome in light of the reclassification of the crime and the contained sentence – says Mattiangeli. I will consider whether to appeal anyway after reading the reasons given that my client had always said that there had only been disagreements over his daughter”.
