Excellent results for the Rookies A and B of the Nuoto Club Faenza (photo), the youngest athletes of the club, engaged last weekend in the 27th National Meeting “Tifernum Tiberinum” in Città di Castello. Among the youngest B Beginners, Emma Alpi showed off, first in the 50 backstroke and 50 butterfly, and Elena Coveri, winner in the 50 breaststroke and third in the 100 freestyle. Among the A Beginners, Alberto Fabbri did not miss the appointment, winning in the 200 medley and 50 butterfly and coming second in the 400 medley and 100 freestyle. On his big day he also won bronze medals in the 100 butterfly, 50 freestyle and 200 freestyle. In the women’s field, Linda Martelli beat her competition in the 200m breaststroke, she came second in the 100m breaststroke and took the bronze medal in the 50m breaststroke, 50m freestyle and 200m medley. Last weekend, the Nuoto Club Faenza also competed in the eighth Cool Swim Meeting at the Lido of Merano, where the Seniors, Cadets, Juniors and Boys participated. Alex Gaddoni stood out by finishing second in the 100m butterfly, third in the 400m medley and fourth in the 200m butterfly. Other placings close to the podium were obtained in the women’s field by Andrea Maltoni in the 50 and 100 backstroke and by Giada Minelli in the 200 butterfly and 1500 freestyle.
