M5S in Rome NO Differentiated autonomy No premiership

POLITICALLY

SALERNO“Hundreds of us left Salerno for Rome to defend the unity of our country and ours Constitution. Let’s say ‘no’ to differentiated autonomy, ‘no’ at the premiership, ‘no’ to the violence used by the right. For them the Italian flag is a provocation, for us it is a defense of democracy. Today, together with hundreds of citizens, we left Salerno with a single mission:

defend the unity of our country and our Constitution.

There Piazza Santissimi Apostoli in Rome resounded with our united voices against differentiated autonomy and the premiership, measures that threaten to radically transform our Republic. The violence used by the right does not intimidate us, on the contrary, it strengthens our determination.

For them the Italian flag is a provocation, for us it is the symbol of the democracy we want to protect.

We cannot afford to analyze individual measures without considering the overall impact on our country. The overall vision is fundamental. Differentiated autonomy, a strong premiership, disinvestment and changes to the penal code and justice, if combined, could create unsustainable territorial disparities.

The proposal for differentiated autonomy is particularly worrying: it could perpetuate divisions between Serie A and Serie B territories, further penalizing the South. We cannot allow some regions to be treated as second-class citizens.

Our protest today is a clear message to the government: we will not accept policies that fragment our country and compromise the principles of equality and solidarity enshrined in our Constitution. We must avoid the implementation of differentiated autonomy and the strengthening of the premiership. Our battle is for a united, supportive and democratic Italy. We will continue to fight to ensure that every citizen, regardless of their region, has the same rights and opportunities”. She declared herself the Coordinator of the 5 Star Movement in the province of Salerno Virginia Villani during the demonstration in Piazza Santissimi Apostoli in Rome.
