The Order of Engineers of the province of Teramo will host as a speaker, starting from 3 pm on Friday 21 Juneat the Auditorium Parco della Scienza, Massimo Mariani, engineer, recognized among the leading experts in the seismic sector and in the consolidation and restoration of buildings in Italy and abroad.
The seminar entitled: “Behavior of masonry structures in the absence of an earthquake and during an earthquake. Investigation methods and consolidation and restoration techniques” was sponsored by the Municipality of Teramo and will give the right to recognition of 4 training credits for engineers while for other professionals we will proceed according to their training regulations.
A series of solutions for structural consolidation will be proposedthe result of Mariani’s study and research, aimed at the three-dimensional reinforcement of the connections and the overall improvement of the resistance of the walls.
The course materials will be made available to participants with the construction details of reinforcement and structural intervention.
Massimo Mariani is the author of important research in the sector, published nationally and internationally. Formerly professor of “Geotechnics and Geology Applied to Engineering Works” at the University of Perugia, he teaches in the II level Masters on the Consolidation and Restoration of damaged buildings at the Department of Architecture of the University of Ferrara and at the National Technical Service of the Civil Protection for Earthquake.
