Ineos Grenadiers extends Thymen Arensman’s contract until 2027

Thymen Arensman ties his competitive future to Ineos Grenadiers. The Dutch rider has in fact signed a contract extension with the British WorldTour team, expiring at the end of the 2027 season. 24 years old, Arensman has been defending the colors of Ineos since the beginning of 2023, after leaving what is now called Dsm-Firmenich PostNL. Since then, he has been a protagonist especially in the Giro d’Italia, closing for two consecutive editions in sixth place in the general classification. It is likely that in the future, and not only in the long term, the climber will have a more prominent place within the team’s strategies.

“I’m really happy to stay at Ineos,” Arensman said. “It was an easy decision for me to make. I’m happy with how I’ve settled into the team and to have people around me who understand my body and who help me get the best out of myself.”

Thus Scott Drawer, Ineos technical chief: “Thymen is a very talented rider, who has already played a key role for us in two Grand Tours. He has grown and learned a lot and I know he will play an important role in our team’s future success. We know he is determined and ambitious and that he wants to be a captain, aiming for a podium in a three-week race. We are happy to continue to support him, helping him reach his maximum potential.”
