The Bank of Piacenza celebrated the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Vigolzone branch. Present were the president Giuseppe Nenna, the general director Angelo Antoniazzi, the deputy general director Pietro Boselli, the head of the Network Management Elisabetta Molinari and the head of the Personnel Management Francesca Michelazzi. The guests were welcomed by the branch director Luca Gabrieli, the employees, numerous partners and customers, the members of the Credit Committee Franco Osera, Giorgio Costa, Piergiulio Bongiorni, and the former owners Luigi Molinari, Claudio Vernasca and Nereo Tonoli. Present were the deputy mayor Michele Bernardi, the parish priest Don Francisco Paolo Bezzerra (who invited a moment of prayer which was followed by the blessing of the premises), the commander of the Valnure and Valchero Local Police Union Paolo Giovannini.

The Dr. Nenna thanked members and customers for the never-failing support and the directors who have led the Branch over the years: «Let’s toast its 50th anniversary – continued the president – as we prepare to celebrate the Bank’s 90th anniversary. A near goal, given that we are at 88, years always characterized by positive results. The attention to the anniversaries of the branches is a sign of our desire to remain in the area where we are strongly established, also demonstrated by the policy of acquiring ownership of the offices, most recently those of Bobbio and Pianello”. The president then explained the choice to open new branches outside the province (Voghera, Modena, Pavia and Reggio Emilia): «Piacenza is rich in terms of deposits, but less attractive in terms of loans. Hence the need to go outside the province to strengthen our development, with positive effects on the main reference territory, while remaining independent”. The Dr. Nenna also mentioned the excellent performance of the first quarter of 2024, leaving general director Antoniazzi with the task of briefly mentioning the results of the credit institution. «We have now consigned to history – highlighted the CEO – an excellent 2023 budget. While other banks try to limit costs by removing services (cashiers are now disappearing) we maintain the traditional relationship with the customer. A choice that pays off, given that in the last three years we have grown our collection and lending volumes by 6 percentage points every year. And this is the data that lays the foundations for satisfactory results in the coming years too.”
The deputy mayor Michele Bernardi, in his welcoming speech, underlined “how fundamental the presence of the Banca di Piacenza is for the territory of Vigolzone”.
