The president of the Lazio region Francesco Rocca came to visit Civitavecchia last night to support Massimiliano Grasso. The match took place at the five-a-side football field in via Cerruti in the San Liborio district. Many citizens crowded the structure’s grandstand for the important event of the tour of the squares inaugurated yesterday by the mayoral candidate.
“I thank Francesco Rocca – explained Grasso -, it is an honor to have him here. It is no coincidence that we chose San Liborio which is the most populous neighborhood of Civitavecchia. We are ready for the final effort on Sunday and Monday. On the one hand there is an idea of development that looks to the future, on the other there is a great scramble for seats, a great alliance that would lead Civitavecchia to isolation and decline. We are convinced that our city will be able to choose the right idea.”
The run-off is approaching and the presence of Francesco Rocca in Civitavecchia is a strong signal for the entire centre-right. The president of the region assured the maximum support for the mayoral candidate.
“Massimiliano Grasso is having an extraordinary electoral campaign – continued Francesco Rocca – The region is close and will work alongside him. After years, in a short time, we have unblocked the issue of civic uses: if it gives me so much, how can a city vote for a coalition of that type which in 10 years has never taken Tenuta delle Mortelle into consideration? Among the next measures that we have already decided and will implement is the inclusion of radiotherapy at the San Paolo hospital, because it is not possible for patients to be forced to travel to Rome for treatment. We are renovating the emergency room with cutting-edge equipment and 250 new hires already authorized in public health are on the way. In this neighborhood, 150 apartments will be redeveloped. In this historical period, the supply chain counts but also seriousness and Massimiliano Grasso is a serious person and deserves to become mayor”.
Taking part in the meeting were, among others, the vice-president of the Lazio region Roberta Angelilli, the regional councilors Luciano Crea and Emanuela Mari and the Ater commissioner Massimiliano Fasoli.
