The constant monitoring of airport transits made it possible to detect the arrival of the fugitive, together with his family, at Treviso airport where, after disembarking, he escaped in a car that was waiting for him outside the airport.

His escape, however, was short. He was captured by the agents of the mobile squad who, having spotted him driving the car, they tailed him and stopped him at the entrance of a building where he was probably seeking refuge. The Albanian fugitive, now in handcuffs, will have to serve his sentence in Belgium.
