Carlo Conti aims to streamline Sanremo Giovani 2024, whoever competes at the Festival will do so in the rediscovered “New proposals” category. Here are the numbers relating to the participants admitted and the evenings dedicated to shortlisting the competitors.
The new regulation has been released for Sanremo Giovani 2024with which the artistic director (as well as presenter) Charles Conti plans to carry out the competition and the final selection, to arrive at the four personalities who will perform at the Sanremo Festival 2025, the first of the two that Conti will surely host, by contract with Rai. Let’s see what the new rules for new aspiring song stars who aspire to the Ariston stage.
The rules of Sanremo Giovani 2024, looking to Sanremo 2025
You will be able to participate in Sanremo Giovani 2024 anyone who is a debutant and has aged between 16 and 26: registrations open from 4pm on July 10th and close on October 8th. In the first phase the artistic director and the musical commission will examine all the pieces submitted, pre-selecting 40 artists for live auditions in via Asiago in Romein order to find the 24 who will participate in the four episodes of the skimmingexpected on Rai 2 in the late evening, on 12, 19, 26 November and 3 December. For each episode 6 artists will present the songs: only 3 will be able to pass the turn. At the semi-final on December 10thalways in the second evening on Rai2, these 12 selected will participate and will then be reduced to 6, through direct challenges. They will access the exam December 18th final these in prime time on Rai1 6 plus the 2 from the “Area Sanremo” competitionselected by the Rai Music Commission. The 4 “New Proposals” winners of the final, chosen by the Music Commission (50% weight) and by televoting (the other 50%), will arrive at Ariston for Sanremo 75in onda from 4th to 8th February 2025.
As was already known, the “New Proposals” category thus reintroduced is separate from that of the Bigs, a decision strongly supported by Charles Contiwhich justifies it thus: “It is intended to constitute a concrete moment of further valorization of young people. The model that was identified, and also thelowering of the chronological agethey are in fact used to build a three month long growth pathamong the various stages of Sanremo Giovani. All aimed at identifying the potential Bigs of the future through the challenge in the New Proposals category in February”.
