A group of thieves broke into the Roman residence of the well-known presenter Caterina Balivo. The intruders took the opportunity of the presenter’s absence, who was currently on holiday in Barcelona with her children, to carry out the theft. The house, located in the prestigious Paroli district, was broken into via a French window. The criminals would have slipped into the fourth floor apartment by forcing the window.

On Sunday night, returning to her apartment, Caterina Balivo found signs of forced entry and immediately alerted the authorities. In the previous days, Balivo had shared photos and videos of her moments of relaxation on her social media profiles, unaware of what was about to happen in her home.

The loot: valuable watches and luxury bags worth 300 thousand euros

According to initial police investigations, the criminals climbed up to the fourth floor of the building in via Filippo Lippi, managing to enter the house through a French window. Once inside, they raided highly valuable objects: watches, including some Rolexes, jewelery and designer bags, for a total estimated at around 300 thousand euros.

The thieves’ modus operandi was particularly clever: to ensure their escape, they blocked the entrance door from the outside, complicating any attempts at pursuit or immediate intervention.

The authorities are currently investigating the incident, trying to gather clues that could lead to the identification of those responsible. The dynamics of the theft and the choice of the stolen objects suggest apremeditated actionconducted by professionals who are well informed about the victim’s habits and the characteristics of his home.

Investigators do not rule out that the perpetrators could be the same authors of a series of similar thefts that have recently taken place in the capital, characterized by very similar access techniques. The police are working to connect the various episodes and find any common points that could lead to the identification of the culprits.

The investigators of the scientific police and the flying squad have carried out an inspection of the apartment to collect traces and clues left by the thieves. They are also examining the recordings of the surveillance cameras present in the area and in the building, in the hope of obtaining useful elements to trace those responsible for the theft. The prevailing hypothesis, in fact, is that the thieves had been monitoring Balivo’s home for some time, planning the theft in the smallest details and acting with precision knowing that the house would be empty.

Caterina Balivo’s Social Silence

At the moment, Caterina Balivo has not released any official statements regarding the incident. The presenter, very active on social media, recently shared images of herself in Barcelona with her children, Guido Alberto and Cora, but has not published anything for about 24 hours, not even to comment on the incident, preferring to focus on her private life.

Return to TV scheduled for September

During this holiday period, Caterina Balivo is away from television screens, but her return is scheduled for September with the program The right timewhich will be broadcast every afternoon on Rai1. The anticipation for his return is high, especially among fans who fondly follow his professional career.
