Caserta – The recent rulings issued by national, European and international courts on the consequences of climate change that is occurring on our planet and which are having a great impact on the life of every human being and on their economic, social and cultural activities, will be the focus of an interesting conference entitled “Climate Justice”, scheduled for next Tuesday 2 July at the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, which is based in Caserta.

As part of the Prin Pnrr 2022 project “Coping with Climate Change. Method, reasons and procedure for science based policy making” and with the patronage of the legal journal AmbienteDiritt, the Vanvitelli department and the PhD in Environment, Comparative Law and Transitions are promoting a legal seminar that, starting at 10:30 am, in room 3 of Viale Ellittico 31, will review recent national and international jurisprudential decisions, in the perspective of climate change issues.

“The conference will offer a unique opportunity to discuss these issues with leading experts and to promote a constructive dialogue on the challenges and opportunities related to climate justice”, explain the director of the department, Francesco Eriberto d’Ippolito, and the coordinator of the doctorate, Domenico Amirante, who will bring the welcome greetings together with Vincenzo Pepe, founder of FareAmbiente – European Ecological Movement and full professor of Italian and Comparative Environmental and Energy Law; Fulvio Conti Guglia, editor-in-chief of the magazine AmbienteDiritto.

Coordinated by Amirante, Francesco Corvaro, special envoy of the Italian Government for climate change, will intervene as speaker, while researchers Alessandra Osti from the State University of Milan will discuss the topic of climate justice; Carmine Petteruti of UniVanvitelli as well as head of the Prin Pnrr 2022 operational unit “Coping with Climate Change. Method, reasons and procedures for science based policy making”; Luigi Colella of UniCampania and Barbara Marchetti of the “E-Campus” University.
