Two tragedies in the space of a few hours, two lives broken a few kilometers apartin the Modena lowlands. The victims were 26 and 34 years old, both died after leaving the road with their car. Patricio Nicolas Barbieri, 26 year old Unimore university student resident in Modena, died this morning, shortly before 1am, while he was driving along the Strada provinciale 2 Panaria Est in Camposanto. The young man suddenly lost control of his Citroen C3 ending his run against a tree. The 118 medics with the air ambulance and firefighters intervened on site, but there was nothing left that could be done for Barbieri.
Another fatality 24 hours earlier
Less than 24 hours earlier, at 7.30 on Sunday along via Marzana in Dogaro di San Felice, a handful of kilometers from Camposanto, he had died Diego Carfora 34 years old, father of a 2 year old girl. His car, having left the road, had first crashed into a street pole phone line then against a concrete structure. The police are investigating both tragedies, but there are no other vehicles involved in either case.
