Change at the top of the General Management of PrimaCassa-Credito Cooperativo Fvg. From 1 July Sergio Copetti will be the new general manager of the bank and succeeds Marco Pontello, who has managed PrimaCassa since 1 January 2018 when three mutual banks gave shape to a successful aggregation which today allows it to serve, with gratifying results, all the province of Udine and beyond.

«The change is part of a path planned for some time by the Board of Directors in the awareness that guaranteeing the right continuity to the generational transition constitutes a fundamental element of the sustainability of a company – notes the president of PrimaCassa, Giuseppe Graffi Brunoro -. We express sincere and heartfelt thanks to Pontello for having guided our Cooperative Credit Bank with great foresight, high professionalism and profound humanity. He was able to complete the integration process by creating a group of motivated people aware of their role in favor of our reference communities. He leaves a Bcc with the numbers in order on which the new management can work to build an even better future and will continue in its activity as a cooperator by coordinating the activities of Objective Benessere, the welfare association of which PrimaCassa is a supporting member”.

The new director, 50 years old, comes from a professional career, after 15 months as a Complementary Officer at the Guardia di Finanza, all carried out within the Banca di Cividale and then moving, in 2020, to PrimaCassa as deputy general manager.

«After 35 years of Cooperative Credit, all with the same BCC and, of which, 12 as general manager – recalls Pontello – I pass the baton to a colleague whom in recent years I have learned to respect and whose professional skills and above all human characteristics. His ability to listen, his empathy, his openness to questioning himself and, at the same time, knowing how to take responsibility for decisions convinced me that the Board of Directors made a good decision in aiming for an internal solution for identifying the new General Management. For my part, in addition to thanking the Board of Directors for the trust they have always shown in me and my colleagues for the support they have always guaranteed me, I can only express my best wishes to an Institute which is preparing to celebrate 120 years since its establishment and, enjoying good health, he aims for a long future and to ensure that the Cooperative Credit will always find a convinced supporter in me”.

«I take on the task of carrying the baton of this ideal cooperative relay, which began over 100 years ago, which is PrimaCassa – comments Copetti for his part -. I admit that I feel the weight of responsibility completely and strongly, but I know that I can count on the over 200 people who are and make PrimaCassa today, on their sense of belonging and their awareness of identity. I assure them and the over 15,000 members of our utmost commitment to continue the virtuous path of our Cooperative Credit Bank aimed at maintaining firm values that constitute those roots in the territory and in the communities that allow the bank to do well in order to respond increasingly better to needs, not always and not only banking and insurance, of families and businesses. All in full awareness of the need to guarantee quality and solidity to the Cooperative’s numbers.”

With the appointment of Copetti as general manager, the Board of Directors, confirming its desire to favor internal solutions, has identified Alessandro Rosso as the new deputy general manager. Rosso, 49, comes from twenty years of experience in the Cooperative Credit and has been working in PrimaCassa since 2018.
