PRATO. He is under investigation for the murder of his partner, but was arrested on charges of using stolen credit cards. This is the current condition of Marco Satori, 43 years old, stopped in Prato by the Livorno carabinieri. This is the man, defended by the lawyers Stefano Camerini and Michele Nigro, who the Pistoia Prosecutor’s Office investigated for the murder of his partner Giusy Levacovich, whose lifeless body was found on the morning of 11 June at the back of the prefabricated house where he lived in Buggiano, in the province of Pistoia.
Satori, the Carabinieri explain, is “seriously suspected of being the author of receiving stolen goods and improper use of credit cards and of repeated fraudulent conduct in the Labro area in the period between March 2023 and April 2024”.
The investigators of the Livorno Police force have collected precise clues. In particular, the investigations were started by the Carabinieri of Ardenza following a series of thefts of bags containing personal effects including purses with credit cards and debit cards. On 3 April 2023, the suspect allegedly made five withdrawals and seven payments at various commercial establishments in Livorno with the credit cards of a lady
that that same day he had had his bag stolen from his car in the car park of a well-known shopping center in Livorno Sud after having done his shopping. The images from the cameras of a tobacconist and an ATM device involved in the fraudulent operations did not initially allow the identification and
recognize the perpetrator of the undue use, but this did not prevent the investigators from arriving at his recognition when those images were compared with those relating to other offenses of the same nature. In fact, on October 24, 2023, another lady was robbed of her
bag at the car park of the same shopping centre, in a manner completely similar to the first victim. The stolen bag contained an ATM with which three withdrawals were then made at an ATM in Viale Alfieri. In this case the images examined were compared both with those of the previous case and with those supplied to other Commands which had carried out
similar investigative investigations on Satori, allowing for
recognize the author. Then on 23 December 2023, inside the car park of the Livorno Sud shopping centre, another woman, after the operations of transferring the envelopes of the
shopping in the car, she had her bag stolen with her
inside, among other things, credit cards. Invariably, she too found that unknown persons had used these credit cards to carry out spending transactions, including a top-up of a prepaid card, for a total amounting to almost 2,000 euros. The way in which, on 5 March 2024, a married couple was robbed in a car park of another well-known Labronica shopping center is speculative. Also in this case, using the card stolen from the victims, a withdrawal of 250 euros was made from the post office ATM, whose video surveillance would have returned useful elements in relation to the perpetrator of the previous crimes.
