Four years in Sassari were enough to get in tune with the world of Dinamo. And so, a month after ending his playing career which began 21 years ago in Verona and then in Lumezzane, Trento, Trieste, Bologna and Varese, Luca Gandini joins the management of the blue and white club. The Trieste native, born in 1985, was appointed team manager of the men’s team.
Gandini declared: “First of all I would like to thank president Sardara, the club and the entire Dinamo family for the opportunity given to me. Covering the role of team manager will certainly help me to better deal with the separation from playing basketball, I am excited for this new experience, I am aware that it will be very demanding but I will try to assert and pass on the baggage collected over the years around Italy and values that are the basis of the white and blue club”.
General director Jack Devecchi had this to say about Gandini: “Luca was a pivot within the locker room and we are happy to have his experience at the service of the club. He has made him the values and philosophy that permeate Dinamo on and off the pitch and we are sure that he will be a great plus for all of us.”
