What happened between Zenga and Carbone
But what happened between Zenga and Carbone? It all has to do with something a few months ago in Saudi Arabia. Both were at the Emirates Club in Ras al-Khaimahm, where Zenga was coach from January to April and had brought Carbone with him as a close collaborator (he also had Venezia and Crotone). But the adventure together did not go as expected: after a negative series of results (five points obtained in seven games with an average of 0.71 per match, including the flop in the national cup) the club decided to terminate Walter Zenga’s contract a year early. And the team was given to his assistant, Benito Carbone. Hence the disappointment of the former Inter and national team goalkeeper.
