Separate waste collection remains a sore point in that regard Sanremo. The data from the Liguria Region also bear witness to this, showing a slight decline in the City of Flowers, which dropped to 58.81%below the regional average which is 59.35% and constantly increasing.
Certainly not positive news also in light of the tax relief that the 139 Ligurian municipalities will obtain which have managed to exceed the 65% quota with a saving on the basic amount ranging from 30% to 70%.
The most virtuous province is La Spezia with an average of 76.21%, followed by Savona with 63.05%. The province of Imperia reaches 57.12%while the Metropolitan City of Genoa obtained 53.84%.
And it is no coincidence, therefore, that the waste sorting has also forcefully entered the narrative of the electoral campaign which is coming to an end with the expected run-off next weekend. The system organized by the Municipality of Sanremo has received criticism both from those who propose themselves as an alternative to the Biancheri administration (read Gianni Rolando, centre-right), and from those who declare themselves to be its natural continuation (read Alessandro Mager, civic).
Certainly whoever sits in Palazzo Bellevue will be called to mess with the system, both to meet the requests of citizens and traders, and to resume a climb towards and beyond 60% which could also be a boon for the pockets of residents. Always in the hope that citizens will also do their part, brushing up on civil behavior and collaborating on an objective that would do good for everyone.
